Writing about Movies is Writing about Life
"There's no such thing as an age ... a numerical age, at which you are supposed to have it together, because bad things can happen to you at any age. You could be 27, you could be 37, you could be 47, you could be 57, and something horrible could happen to you and throw you off keel. A death. Unemployment. Anything. Life just throws things at you, and if you aren't fully ready to catch it, it could knock you over."
- Dave White, on Frances Ha and life
"Yeah, but she's throwing her own stuff at herself a lot of times."
- Alonso Duralde, on what Dave White just said
